Moon Rising : Book Review
“It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.”
- J.K. Rowling
About the book :
The author of the book is Tui . T. Sutherland. It is the sixth book in the series wings of fire. It was published on 30th December 2014. The theme of the book is courage. The genre of the book is fantasy fiction.
Bit about the book :
Peace has returned to Pyrrhai. Now the dragonets of the prophecies decided to set up a school for students from different tribes to come to learn and get along with other tribemates. Moonwatcher is one such student, she is bashful, didn't live with her tribemates, and also has a secret power (which nobody knows apart from her mother and herself). She gets strange whispers (someone is talking to her in her mind!!!!!!). Later accidents happen in the school and Moon during the night between two people about some murder. She and her claw mate Qibli together try to find out the assassin, her next move, and the motive behind it. Will they find it in time before the next murder or not? (I can't tell read it to find out).
What I liked :
The book was mysterious and joyful.
Who is my favorite characters :
My favorite character is Moonwatcher. I like her courage and intelligence very much. Next is Kinkajou. I like her cheerful and loving nature.
Who would like this book :
People who like dragons or in other words fantasy fiction will like this book. I would recommend reading the first arc (the first five books) before coming to this book.
Questions :
1. What powers do you think Moon has?
2. Who do you think caused the accidents in the school? (any guesses)
3. Who do you think is talking to Moon (like through his/her mind) ? (try it)
